In this fictional world, humans stay healthy without sleep. This is not a suggestion to reduce real sleep.

How this world is calculated

A day still has 24 hours. Reclaimed time comes from the fictional assumption that sleep is unnecessary. Total hours = daily hours × 365 × years. Leap days are excluded. “Years’ worth” divides the total into full 24-hour days; it is not a forecast of extra lifespan.

Films and get-togethers are illustrative two-hour units; projects use 40 hours. These are not forecasts of achievement, income, relationships or worldwide productivity. We do not assume that every hour has equal value.
